Touch Pro 2 TF3D Available To All
The ‘official’ XBoxMod thread does not have a link to download the package but XBoxMod himself did provide a link to the download here. He wrote:
this is the 1st public release some bug subsist
we always working on it.
check thread on some days for new fix
be sure to have net cf 3.5 on your rom
rom cooked is the best way to have this working
bye
As I noted earlier there are some bugs to this release and they are known bugs but it appears as though they differ slightly based on ROM. This app should work for all Touch Pro’s and Diamonds though. My recommendations are that at this time only people that are willing to play around with this as a demo try it out and you may have to hard reset so if you are unsure about loading this wait for the next release. It is functional and generally works but I’m sure some users will not like any bugs and for them I remind them this is a beta and to just be patient.
They are continuing to work on this project and the official thread is located here. Again, a link for donations to keep this project going is located here. Please share your experiences if you do try this. Also, this may not uninstall cleanly so if you do try it you should back up your manila files or your entire system. Also, follow the instructions as written with the soft resets – do not take shortcuts or else you can expect it to not function correctly.
UDPDATE: The official thread is now updated with a final beta release. ALSO see this posting for a screen by screen overview and Q&A on the new TF3D

I have a bug to where I cannot change my contact images through the favorites tab OR the contact manager. Anyone have a fix?
Another bug is the messaging inside of TF3D, you cant see the last two messages as it is cut off by the input box.
All in all though, for a complete rehaul port of the Rhodium manila and only having a small cosmetic bug here or there, they did a FANTASTIC job.
Reluttr- add the contact (without the photo) then in TF3D open the contact by pressing on the photo then go to ‘edit contact’ and it brings you to the traditional contacts edit page and you can change the photo there. I just tried it and it works even though going to ‘change photo’ did not work tiself
I have this running on the “test” Fuze Rom by AT&T and I have no problems so far… it runs smoothely… but note you cant uninstall… if you have problems, post them in the forums and people will be able to help out more than here.

@David K
I managed to get to get to the classic contact manager, however when I add the contacts with the images I assigned through it to the peoples tab their images are really blurry and pixilated
Is there a 3rd party program that can assign high resolution contact images like the old TF3D?
Also could it be the version of albums on the EnergyRom causing this? Because when I try to add contact images through it they end up being the grey man “no image specified” on the people tab. But if I look at the contact in the dialer and classic contacts I can see the contact image perfectly.
I don’t understand why the people tab is being such a pain, because I am not the only one having issues with it
I am running the test ROM as well and I want to get rid of the gray top bar and make it black to match the new TF3D. Can someone tell me how to do this?
I have adopted TF3D2 and after some initial problems with the weather/time tabs I fell confident to report that there is a serious increase in performance using this. Sorry to Mobile Matt, but I don;t see a reason to add much to what is going on here.
I’ll admit I was fearful when it went into a reboot cycle initially, but not that I have fixed that, I am happy I made this switch.
Great progress, but I’ll wait for a cooked-in non-beta version later. It was very buggy and crashed constantly for me on NATF v4.4. For those of you worried about it not uninstalling, I was able to put the HD Manila CFC over top of it and that works great again. No hard-reset needed.
i installed on stock fuze. TF3D-2 drags and restarts occassionally during use.
then i installed fuzeberry2 over it. TF3D restarts a little less, but it looks worse then TF3D-2.
thanks guys but all in all i think im going to do a hard-reset back to stock ATT Fuze!
@ggg Have you thought about flashing the EnergyROM? My Fuze has never ran better and with the FuzeBerry, Hmmmmm, one sweet device!!!
The xda thread indicates that this port will work only with 21000 or higher builds. Mine is build 19971.1.2.6. Does this mean that the TP2 TF3D won’t work on mine?
I plan to flash the new EnergyROM in the next day or so. Will that allow me to then flash the new TF3D when the bugs are out of it?
Dr – you CAN use this port on the stock ROM with a 19xx build. You cannot use the enhanced notifications or enhanced menus but those are not a part of TF3D – they are just two more things that got ported but TF3D itseld WILL work on a stock Fuze ROM.
i am so happy with the unofficial official att rom upgrade in one of your old posts (all i added to function was the new contact card and tf3d config). slide2answer was all i wanted to get not upgrade to the whole mess of tf3d-2. go with what works
I’m using a Fuze with the stock ATT ROM (build less than 2100). I’m not comfortable upgrading to a newer ROM build just to get the enhancements. What about this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3503258&postcount=1177
Will that work, or will it brick the phone?
Also, does the new manilla run as smoothly as the old manilla? Sorry about all the questions.
the only problems i noticed with this is there is no programs tab. when i try to install the show programs tab it intsalling hide programs tab. also i cannot get the weather to update. that’s about it though all in all i’m still glad i made the switch.
fcherf – to get the programs to show you actually need to isntall ‘hide programs’ and that cab enables the programs tab (make sure TF3D is off when you install it). Weather should be worknig – they are up to a Beta 1c version now and weather should be pretty good at this point…mine always updates but that’s better than no updating:)
thanks davidk, i got it to work, and after reading the original thread for the contributors release it stated how to fix the weather problem. everythings woiking beautifully now.
XDA-Developers.com is down i don’t believe it! Does anyone have a mirror for the latest beta build or the Energy 2.0 Rom? Heres hopeing the site is just having temporary problems!
I’m a little confused. I was thinking about going big and installing EnergyROM 32609 which includes the TP2 TF3D port. But I just read that this port doesn’t require flashing and can easily be installed with the cab.
So now I’m thinking that I should go with a more proven EnergyROM, perhaps 1.3 or 1.5 (as recommended by Farmer Ted) and then just install the port cab.
The reports on the 32609 version of EnergyROM sounds like they have most of the bugs worked out and it appears to be dramatically faster than previous version (according to Farmer Ted’s testing).
What to do, what to do?
Any suggestions?
I think this is GREAT. I followed all the installation instructions, however none of the tabs show up. I am using a Diamond, ROM:1.37.707.1 WWE. When I launch Touchflo my keyboard pops up and holds for about 5 to 10 seconds before launch (without the tabs). G-Sensor also doesn’t respond. Also is there any chance that the final will use less memory? (is that a reasonable question?) I would love to have this on my phone but I think I will wait for the final release. In the meantime great stuff guys. Keep going. I can’t wait to see the final.
If no tabs launch then what does launch? It should work with a Diamond. For the gsen you need to install the app – it’s linked in the posted in the Q&A part
Less memory is not likely but I actually find that it’s more efficient than the standard TF3D
I am able to gesture with my finger to access the home screen along with the messages screen, the emails screen the internet screen and so on. The actual tabs at the bottom of the screen are absent. So I’m flipping blindly. Lat week I had installed it then ran a few other apps that had on my phone previously like the new HTC Calculator, FingerKeyboard2 and some of the software from the Diamond 2 has been ported to the Touch Diamond, and are presently hosted at everythingdiamond.info. All of this was overkill of course and my memory ran out and crashed my Diamond. So I did a hard reset as some of these apps can only be uninstalled by a hard reset. I reinstalled your app and this time opted to leave out all the other stuff but then ran into this new problem. and I noticed as well that the screen with the option to turn off or reposition some tabs is not there either. For example I don’t do Stocks and I don’t listen to music on my phone so I don’t need those tabs but I can’t turn them off. The first install I did gave me those options. I hope I have been as detailed in the description of my problem as is necessary.
Thanks, David.
P.S. Will some of the new apps like the Calculator and the keyboards etc be included in the final release?
Well, Daid. I got it to work. I think there was a scale issue the lst install. The images in the music screen, for example, were quite large. The keyboard still pops up just before touchflo loads up and is there for about 5 seconds till touchflo loads up. There is a little lag with the rotation as the screen takes about 2 seconds to fully orient itself. Otherwise It’s working very well now. Thanks again.
Taboka – the on scren keyboard is common to everyone using this. The screen rotation shouldn’t be 2 seconds…it should be 1/2 second. Do you know how to check your registry? Check the gsen polling – it should be set to 200
Checked and done! It’s running great! Thanks for letting me know about the keyboard. This is awesome, David.
New problems. Teeter crashes a few seconds into the game and after quitting will not launch again. Attempting to relaunch the game results in the entire device crashing. I’ve done a soft reset a few times already and had the same result each time. Never had this problem before on the standard Touchflo 3D. Also, after a soft reset, Touchflo gives message that it is unable to launch and requires the screen to be tapped again. At one point I had to tap the screen about four times before it finally launched. I still love the look and feel of this though so I haven’t removed it.
can u give me instructions on how to install the new tf3d on my touch pro? i downloaded the xboxmod file o it but when i click on it in file explorer it says that it does not exist?
Kyle- it’s a zip file and when you unzip it there should be a few fodlers within it and they contain cab files that you isntall one by one in order
