Tmobile TP2 Official Pricing
Looks like the Tmobile Touch Pro 2 pricing roller coaster has finally stopped. The Touch Pro 2 will cost an arm $349.99 with a two year contract, a leg $399.99 for one year contract, and your life insurance $549.99 with out any contract. The device should be coming in two days. I think I am going to be selling my Fuze and buying the TP2 with my life insurance policy at $549.99. Who is still going to get one?

I think Im skipping the Touch (Tilt II) II and waiting for better hardware. I dont want to cash in my contrat-upgrade for a phone that is virtually the same as my Fuze. Ill wait for that Tegra or Snapdragon to drop that will be eligible for a Windows7 upgrade.
Forgot get ATT. I am switch to Verizon. ATT sux. I wont miss my calls being dropped. Oh wait, i wont miss not have coverage inside buildings either..
You are right gigapimp. TP2 is almost same as fuze or the TP but only the major change is the screen thats WVGA and screen lift up like tytn 2. There is no such changes in hardware. i.e cpu speed and ram size.
It isn’t worth to buy tp2 if you already have a tp/fuze.
If this group is at all representative of the potential buying market for the TP2, AT&T is in for a rude awakening.
BTW, I’ve been amazed that the price of the Fuze hasn’t dropped since I bought mine back in 11/08. Doesn’t AT&T and HTC want to sell them. For most people, why spend $299 on a Fuze when you can buy an iPhone 3G S for $199 and a refurbished 3G for only $49?
Sorry, $349 is to rich for my blood. Not apples to apples but the Pre and iPhone are much cheaper and if Windows Mobile want to compete then they should reduce the price to $199.
drjim,
Not everyone paid $299 for their Fuze. I got mine free in January 09. If fact, that’s the only reason I moved to windows mobile. I’m not a diehard fan of any phone OS, so it comes down to price for me. Which cool smart phone can I get for the cheapest price?
does the TMo version work fine on the AT&T 3G network? and when is Herg going to shock everyone and give us H-SPL?
I paid $800 for a European version (2 Cameras, No EDGE) of the Touch Pro. I have Tmobile with no contract. Sucks I paid so much. I may stay with the Touch Pro 1 because of the fact that there is no hardware upgrade. Need CPU and Ram increase badly!
I bought my Fuze at the non-contract price back in November. I think I’ll wait until I have at least had it for $1/day before buying a new one.
Yeah i bought my fuze full price too but what i am planning on doing is getting a new contract with tmobile with a blackberry 8900. Wirefly and them are offering the 8900 for free with a new contract so i plan on getting that and then selling my fuze for say like 200-250 and selling the 8900 for about 350 or so and buy the TP2 at full price.
I’m on the fence. I have the cash to buy one without contract renewal, which I have for another year. I might wait for that to get a WM7 phone, but I’m wondering if the TP2 comes with 6.5, will it get upgraded to 7…just wait and see.
Hell, $549 for a brand new device? I remember when the Touch Pros were going for $700 to $1k when it was first released. I paid $400 for my Fuze, and I’d be happy to pay $350 to 450 for the TP2.
