The Shazam MusicID app is now showing up on Marketplace in the US for free. This is the one where you hold your phone to the music and it IDs the song for you. It works great too. From Marketplace:

Saw this but I think I am going to stick with the hijacked version of Midomi for now. It works and I like the YouTube links, etc. I did notice that I can purchase a legit version of Midomi at Marketplace for $4.99.

OK, so I caved and setup my account w/Marketplace and downloaded Midomi. At least I can finally tap the Menu button and not crash the app. It has a couple more features than the pirated copy, but of course it loaded in main memory. It’s only 2.2MB (smaller than the Samsung version), but I may move it to the Storage Card anyway (only three reg keys to change).

Couldn’t find the install as it created a folder labeled; /Program Files/Identifier and Search, and the exe file is MelodisWindowsMobile.exe. But it can find songs as well as the old version so I am a happy camper.
