Jabra Announces The Halo Release Date May 14th
I think it might be time to hang up my trusty Motorola HT820. Don’t get me wrong, it still works as good as it ever has, and never let me down. My only complaints have been the huge ear pieces that always made me feel that my ears were going to fall off as well as being incedibly noticable. If that wasn’t enough, Motorola but a bright blue homing beacon on the side for connection and charging notification! It would light up the room. Now Jabra has announced the release date for their HALO Bluetooth Headset that also has a corded option as well. The Jabra, as you can see from the photo, has a much sleeker design. Not only that, but the Halo also has: “a discreet display to reveal battery and connectivity status“.
“The HALO is compatible with any Bluetooth(R) wireless technology (A2DP) music-playing device and all 3.5 mm. music playing devices. It has the versatility to switch between wireless and wired connectivity…”So for everyone out there with older MP3 Players that still work great, the Jabra Halo.
The Jabra Halo also features the following:
- Bluetooth(R) wireless technology
- A2DP for music streaming
- Multiuse
- Auto-pairing to mobile phone
- Touch controls
- Noise Blackout(TM) technology with dual microphones
- Foldable headband and carrying pouch
- Talk time = 8 hours
- Music time = 8 hours
- Standby time = 13 days
- Weight = 80 grams
- Dimensions = 54mm x 165-190mm x 136mm
- Charger = micro USB
The Jabra Halo will be released May 14th for $99.99 EUR. For more information, head on over to Jabra’s website or just CLICK HERE

I’ll have to keep my eyes on this one.
I’ve been eyeing Sony Ericsson’s HBH-IS800 for a while now, and was just about to buy it. Maybe i should wait and see how good this Halo turns out to be.
Just from a quick specs comparison, here’s what i think.
HBH-IS800: smaller, more discreet, but expensive
Halo: 8hr music time, less expensive, but not discreet
I think its gonna come down to which one has the better music quality.

Is this going to be released in the US as well? I like the looks of it.
