HTC Album From Touch Pro 2 Ported to VGA
Herg did it again. He’s successfully ported the Touch Pro 2 version of HTC Album for our Touch Pro’s. So, what’s so special about this newer version? Well for starters it runs faster than the previous version which is a great start. On top of that the social network engine is active meaning that you will have options to upload to FaceBook within HTC Album. The first time you upload it will ask for your login information and the uploads happen so fast you don’t think it even worked (but it does – I tried it:)) Also if you have FootPrints installed then it will work with FootPrints. The result is that if you have a picture that was tagged with gps coordinates there is a drop down menu that shows up with two blanks in it – the first blank opens the coordinates in Google Maps and the second one opens in Footprints. If there are no gps coordinates then the only blank will be to open it in FootPrints which will then, let you add the photo as a footprint and give any other information you may want to give (and you can add the location tag at that time). These are both really neat options for reliving your photos.

Update: As Dave Zaff and Herg point out, the version noted is not the TP2 version. Herg (with the help of conflipper) has now posted the TP2 version but that version does not work with FootPrints. Both versions are available here.

baltika09o i had that problem, i did a soft reset and then tried installing again, and it installed just fine. do a soft reset, then install.

“This Album is not from the Touch Pro 2. This album was found in a Touch HD rom. I have had this one working for over a month now. If you would like the Touch Pro 2 Rom then you need to Download Dutty 1.8 rom. and inside the rom folder there is a cab file. The cab file has the new Album.
There is nothing in there that I have notice to benefit everything though. It does not allow for facebook upload, and I dont see a lot of benefits of it.

so i dont know about it being tp2 album but great work non the less!!!

V 2.5.1820.4127 that works with footprints but not the new gsen cab
V 3.0.1911.1826 that doesn’t work with footprints but does work with the new gsen cab
Reluttr Im having a issue with v3.0.1911 on my fuze.
I am running NATF v4.3, and after I installed v3.0 my htc album no longer works. It wont accept touch input, and if I go to album through tf3d it shows “camerashots” and will not let me enter any menus…
kennyb123 Just so you know… don’t install version 3.0 on your Fuze until Herg updates it. There is a known problem and it won’t work yet. Check the XDA link to see when he’s fixed it. 2.5 is great.
drjim As the xda posts indicate, 3.0 doesn’t work at this point. I tried it and got a black screen.
I don’t actually see the upside to 3.0. Can someone explain why it’s better?
Sick Nasty So I was able to install the album cab. I see the option for Facebook uploads. However I get a connection error when trying to login to my facebook account after I press “upload to facebook”
I have tried various threads and cabs (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469106 and this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=52386).
Does this not work with 6.5 cooked ROMS? It only worked when I was using WM 6.1.
Saying install unsuccessful does not have sytem permissions?
Anyone else having same issue?
