I've been using Task Facade (http://sites.google.com/site/taskfacade/) for a while now. It does let you filter out processes like ActiveSync. Map it to the PTT button and task switching becomes infinitely easier.

Nice task manager, but as a few have noted in the XDA thread it does take a few seconds to open (that may be the price to pay for a big finger friendly interface). I think I will wait until you can filter out apps (coming in a future release) like ActiveSync.

I am using the task manager that's included with AE Button Plus and while not perfect, when set to large format you can control it well with your fingers. Opens in about half the time.
