Add an Extra Column in Your Programs Directory
No – this is not the fix to get another column into the TF3D programs tab. I’m talking about when you go to Start – Programs. The default setting is three across and four down. A while back the guys at XDA (KD8DNS, NATF and Scotchua to be precise) figured out a way to get a fourth column so that the programs menu would be a four by four grid (thus 16 programs per page). It sounded like a good idea so I installed the application to my Fuze and got a 7 x 4 messy grid (the pics are here). I’m presuming this was caused by QVGA resolution compared to VGA resolution but I’m not sure. Anyway, I messed around with the registry settings and came up with two versions of the application that are both four by four. One of them has the name ‘bar’ at the end which you should use if you still have the vertical bar and the other is missing the name ‘bar’ if you had the guts to get rid of the vertical bar (it’s spaced better – see the photo). Both files are located here and after installing they require a soft reset. They will impact the Settings view as well. If you don’t like it the application will cleanly uninstall. Oh and I also reduced the font size slightly because I like a smaller sharper look but you just need to change one registry setting to make it larger or smaller (or get rid of it entirely and just leave the icons – the variables are here).
This works on the stock AT&T Rom and previous versions of this app were hit and miss on custom Rom’s but like I said, if it doesn’t work just hit the old uninstall. Good luck and here’s to less scrolling and more apps per page!:)
Thanks is also due to LcBoi in the forums who ignored Doug’s warnings and tested this app with me:)

Dave – I use NATF’s rom (latest version) and Mobile Shell. I wonder if this will work with my set up?
LcBoi – don’t worry I’m working on some new ones that may need testers soon:)
TV- it was hit or miss on ROM’s for the Kaiser but it’sa dding a few lines into your registry that otherwise have no purpose so if it doesn’t work just uninstall it. It’s not overwriting any files.
well I installed the one without the word bar and …. nothing happened. I think mobile shell is overriding the layout in the programs section of mobile shell. i only see 9 (3 rows of 3). oh well, lol
TVDinner, I believe NATF’s roms come preinstalled with the 4 row program list. It has to be SPB overriding it.
actually I turned mobile shell off and there is only 3 rows in NATF’s rom, and I might install the cab from here again, but for now, I will just use mobile shell’s default setting.

No problem david, I read that and was like ‘Doug’s warnings? What’s he talking about?’ So I went and re-read the thread and I somehow missed the whole guinea pig part the first time. Sorry for being off-topic.
ON-TOPIC: The cab does work, and works really nice too. If you need guinea pigs for another project I’ll be glad to help out.
